When Dean Singer was diagnosed with LEIOMYOSARCOMA, a rare and aggressive cancer, he had every reason to focus only on his own battle. Instead, he chose something extraordinary.
He chose to fight for everyone.
Together with his lifelong friend, Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo, Dean launched a movement to raise awareness and critical funding for rare cancer research at the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. What began as one man’s mission has grown into a community that has raised more than $118,000 to help advance research and give hope to families facing the same unimaginable diagnosis.
Dean became more than a patient.
He became an advocate.
A fundraiser.
A voice for people who often feel forgotten.
A reminder that #NoOneFightsAlone.
Today, Dean’s fight has become more difficult.
For years, Dean Singer has been fighting for others. He didn’t ask people to give to Dean. He asked them to give to the future. That’s who Dean is.
A husband, a father, best friend, a teammate. The guy who makes everyone laugh. The one who always shows up for others. Cancer has never defined him. It never will. But today, Dean’s journey has reached a critical new chapter.
His cancer has continued to progress, and his medical team is pursuing experimental treatment through Certis Oncology in hopes of identifying new therapeutic options tailored to his disease.
For the first time, Dean isn’t asking us to fight for someone else. He’s allowing us to fight for him. That’s why we created ON DEAN’S LIST.
A nonprofit founded on the belief that No One Fights Alone, created to help Dean access the next phase of his treatment while continuing to inspire hope, community, and action for everyone affected by cancer. This is our opportunity to stand beside the man who has spent years standing beside everyone else.
To give back to someone who has given so much. To remind him that the community he built is now here to carry him.
